As a kid, I always wished I could return to the past. I know this is a little vivid but as we grow up we understand that certain things are impossible. So when I watched the trailer, I was intrigued, and being a thriller lover, I knew I would surely love this. Then I finally decided to watch the series. It made me so curious that I had to finish it in one go.

It begins with the impending case of Aditi who was kidnapped at the fair and later killed. The killer the police believed is missing and the case remains unsolved for 15 years. A law to be passed where all the cases when reached 15 or more years to be closed permanently. The case is about to be closed until certain mystical things start happening which change the fate of the case.

Yug played by Raghav Juyal is a criminal profiler who starts his journey in Uttarakhand. His character is straight to the point with no unnecessary dialogue. Aditi is a friend who was kidnapped in front of his eyes. So the thought of not bringing justice to her makes him torn. To find more evidence his search lands him in an old office where he finds a walkie-talkie. Exactly at 11:11, he hears the voice of Shaurya Athwal played by Dhairya Karwa which helps him in bringing justice to Aditi.

This instance led to the formation of a Cold Case Unit which is headed by Vamika Rawat played by Kritika Kamra. The first case is just the tip of the iceberg which is soon going to melt. Slowly when Yug understands that he can change the past with the help of Shaurya trust starts to form between Yug and Arya. More clues are exchanged and evidences are collected which helps Shaurya in finding justice for all the people. But all this talk leads him into a drive of emotions where he gets torn between picking up the call and leaving the city.

Time is an essential factor in this series. Each sequence happens in 3 different timelines- 1990, 2001, and 2016. The race to solve cases between the past and present creates a sense of illusion that keeps the audiences on their toes. Each twist is generally surprising and the tension is seen throughout all the episodes. The ability to make the audience guess what comes next is achieved without any clichés. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger which has almost made it impossible to stop watching it. Although it starts slow the mystery of the thrilling cases keeps you hooked to your screens. It seems that after 4th episode the plot is lost somewhere but when you watch more you know why certain events happen the way they are.

Kritika has pulled the role of a fierce cop who is in turmoil of her own past. She has a special connection with Shaurya who was her mentor and also her love. The scenes where she is shown vulnerable have proven the strength of the character she has played. The set where she questions Yug on how he knows Shaurya shows the ache and desperation in her eyes. This character of hers has made her an actor who can pull off any scenes.

After the recent success of his movie Kill where he plays a negative shade. Raghav has quite the opposite character in this series. He is a very straightforward character who has a strong sense of justice. His ability to pull off a character with no witty scenes or grey shades makes him one of those actors to look forward to.

Dhairya as Shaurya has surely made a connection with the audience. The sense of confusion, happiness, and guilt portrayed by him shows the nuances with which he can play his part. The range of emotions and the role of the fearless cop is well justified by him. Balwant played by Nitish Pandey is the character who makes you feel happy and sad at once. His screen presence can surely be felt throughout the series.

Although a remake of the South Korean Television series Signal Gyaarah Gyaarah avoids the common drawbacks of the remake. Instead of trying to revive the original plot director Umesh Bisht and writers Puja Banerjee and Sujay Shekhar have made it a point to stay true to their core by incorporating subtle changes for the Indian version. The locations at Mussorie are a huge benefit to this plot as they add more authenticity and create a visual experience for the viewers.

As every story has its own ups and downs this too has. Many secrets are yet to be revealed, like the connection between Yug and Arya, why the specific time, and whether Arya will help Yug save Vamika. Overall this series is a must-watch for all thriller lovers. It has truly changed the quality of web series and has managed to create a benchmark. So yes, what are you waiting for go and watch it on Zee5.
