Call Me Bae Review: Journey of Bella from struggle to smiles  Image Source- Telegraph India If you think Call Me Bae is all about glitz and glamour then you are wrong.   C reated by Ishita Moitra for Dharma's along with co-writers Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, it has 8 episodes about fashion, feminism and the journey of Gen Z discovering them. Initially, I was a little skeptical about watching it but later I enjoyed this ride of self-discovery. Let me introduce you to the journey of  Bella Chowdhary a rich but poor girl. Bella(Ananya Panday) is introduced as a girl with a golden spoon but her brother seems to be getting all the attention and importance. Her life is guided by her mother Gayathri(Mini Mathur) who does not care about her daughter's life. Under her mother's pressure, she has to marry Agastya(Vihaan Samat) another rich heir. Life seems to be a fairytale for Bae as she gets the life of her own dreams. Two years later she seems to be lonely in the house with no

Kill Review: A Thrilling Journey Through Violence, Drama, and Exceptional Talent

Kill movie started to create a buzz when the trailer for the film was released and to be honest I was very curious to know what this movie is all about. When I saw the trailer I understood what the plot was going to be and was literally in splits. Even with all the hype I did not consider watching it in theatres. But as you know no matter what a curious mind cannot sit silent for too long. With its ott release, I finally decided to give this movie a fair chance and I was amazed by the way the film turned around.

The movie revolves around Amrit Rathod(Lakshya) an army commando who gets a call from his girlfriend Tulika Singh Thakur(Tanya Maniktala) that her engagement is about to happen against her will. Along with his friend Viresh(Abhishek Chauhan), Amrit decides to run away with her but on meeting her decides to abort the plan. So after the engagement, the Thakur family boards the train from Ranchi to New Delhi. To somehow convince the family Amrit along with Viresh board the same train. All the plans are thrown out of the window when a gang of knife-wielded hooligans led by Fani (Raghav Juyal) decide to be a part of this same journey. The commandos have to put all the training to test and deal with this situation.

On their phones being taken away Amrit and Viresh decide to find out what this commotion is all about. To ensure that their plan is being smoothly carried out by Fani his father Beni(Ashish Vidyarthi) gives a call to him. Amidst the call, he finds Tulika and is instantly attracted to her. The gang decide to rob people of their valuables and flee away with them.  They meet Baldev Singh Thakur(Harsh Chhaya) an influential figure and get into an argument. All this leads to the kidnapping of his daughter Tulika(love of Amrit) in front of his eyes. On reaching upon the boogie of his love he finds her being taken away and suddenly all you see is the brilliantly choreographed action sequences weaved together to form a perfect recipe for a thrilling narrative.

To ensure the safety of his love Amrit decides to fight the gang but it's only a matter of time before he loses Tulika forever. This becomes the turning part of the movie and what follows next is the bloodbath of all those people who killed her. The rescue mission suddenly changes into a vengeance trail and one by one the gang seems to lose its trusted men. The promise reminds him to find Ahana(Adrija Sinha) who went to the loo and has not returned ever since. Knowing that his best men are dead Beni boards the train and ensures that the commandos are tortured to their death. This fight led to the death of Viresh who was badly injured and then you find Amrit as the Satan who makes sure that no one leaves alive.

One of the best elements of this movie is that the villains are not just a group of people doing it for money but instead, a big family who is led by Beni. Every minion out there is somebody's father, somebody's uncle, somebody's son. Each sequence feels like a testament to how long the audiences are glued to the screens. Every henchman out there decides to take revenge on losing their own people and that choice ensures a series of blood and body out there. The movie takes you on a thriller ride where you are bound to be on the edge of your seats.

If you have seen Raghav on TV you know the type of person he is. But as Fani, he surely did break all the apprehensions and the typecasts that existed on his side. To find him playing one of the antagonists who truly lives up to Lakshya's acrobatics made me think of his growth as an actor. For anyone who even has a tiny amount of hesitation about his abilities, this movie is what you guys need to watch. One moment he is delivering a long analogue and the next moment he is slicing someone's head into two. He surely is a talent to look forward to.

Ashish Vidyarthi is a man known for the character he plays. Whenever he appears on the screen he makes sure that he is noticed. He is such a great talent and is known for his antagonist and character roles. As Beni, he has once again reminded people once again of the quality of work he can deliver. As Amrit Lakshya too shines with the range of emotions he displays at once. From TV to big screens he surely has a long way to go. From playing the loving Amrit to becoming a vicious person who goes to any length to protect people around him.

With little screen presence and the turning point of this film, Tulika is the character Tanya does justice to. But I wish there were more romantic scenes that describe the relationship between her and Lakshya. But nevertheless, the scene where gets brutally killed is depicted well by her. The pain, sadness and the wait for her love to save her are splendidly by her.

Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat along with all its producers has made sure that the plot lives up to the title. He makes sure to use confined spaces to present an action-packed sequence. Every scene seems to be better than the previous one. He makes sure that the audiences are stirred and always on their toes. Whether it is the extinguisher scene or the close-ups of the stabbing scenes in the neck, eyes, mouth and even on the toilet seats the camera does not flinch even a little. His vision and South Korean action director Sea-Young Oh make sure that both storytelling and action shine throughout the film. With no dull moments, this sure is a spot-on film that is going to be one of the most violent films ever. Also not to forget those soundtracks which hugely complimented the action and emotional scenes. The score elevates the tension to another level making it an exciting experience altogether.

Overall this movie is a must-watch for all those action movie enthusiasts out there. It delivers on all fronts- a gripping plot, outstanding performances, breathtaking action sequences and an impressive storyteller. I know it's an action sequence but like I said a few romantic scenes would be a bonus for audiences. This movie has surely created a benchmark in this genre and is sure to blow your mind. So if you are ready for one hell of a journey do watch it on Hotstar.
