Start 2026 Right: Top 5 OTT Picks You Can’t Miss This Week The last week of December always arrives with a strange kind of overload. New OTT releases drop quietly, celebrations blur into each other, and suddenly it’s January with half the watchlist still untouched. If you didn’t get around to everything that was released between December 29 and the first week of January, you’re not behind. You’re exactly where most people are. Between travel, year-end fatigue, and the mental clutter that comes with closing one chapter and opening another, watching anything at all can feel optional rather than urgent. And that’s okay. Not every film or series is meant to be watched immediately upon release. Sometimes, it’s better to pause, scroll through the options, and simply notice what calls to you. To catch something that resonates rather than something trending. That way, watching becomes intentional, not another task on a long to-do list. So instead of rushing into instant reviews or verdi...

Once Again Movie Review: A Slice Of Life Drama Beautifully Weaved Together
After watching a dark movie like Sector 36 on Netflix, Once Again feels like a breath of fresh air. Kanwal Sethi directed this movie, and you fall in love with the bustling streets of Mumbai. The movie makes you yearn for that one person who calls you for 10 minutes, but it feels like a lifetime.
Once again, they set a simple love story in the bustling streets of Mumbai. Amidst their busy lives, two lonely souls find peace in each other. Amar Kumar (Neeraj Kabi), an ageing actor, starts doubting his screen space. He mostly lives alone except for his daughter Sapna (Rasika Dugal), whom he sometimes visits. Tara Shetty (Shefali Shah), a widow with two grown-up children, makes a living by running her restaurant. She sends Amar tiffin boxes every day, and he devours every morsel till the last. If you feel the plot is similar to Lunchbox, then this is where the resemblance ends.
Once again is a movie where the filmmakers limit the dialogue. The powerful long gazes and meaningful pauses create the conversations. With all those lonely and miserable moments, you find yourself gaping at them in awe. Neeraj and Shefali deliver terrific performances, and you can feel their isolation. Like they said, it's all in the eyes; you can literally see it there. With all her messy hair and sarees, she looks as mesmerizing as ever.
Apart from all the silences, the spectacle of Mumbai is equally loud and captures attention. With all those skyscrapers, the sea, and the ever-buzzing streets of the city, you will surely fall in love with this suburb. In one particular scene by the sea, you see Shefali trying to perfect a song. Here, Eeshit Narain's cinematography splendidly captures the beautiful waves and those forlorn expressions. Talvin Singh's soul-stirring music complements all this well. You will dive deep into their world.
Amar faces the burden of broken relationships and fears taking a step into a new one. Tara struggles to escape the constant coercion from society and her son for seeking pleasure. Will they nurture their relationship into something as alluring as a flower? Will they find companionship in each other?
In this fast-paced world, you surely need something to slow down. Once Again calms your nerves with its perfect movie experience. Give your soul a break and enjoy some heartwarming moments along the way. So what are you waiting for? Watch Once Again only on Netflix.
